Recap: Weeki Wachee Hornets vs. Hudson Cobras
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tampa Prep, the Weeki Wachee Hornets were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took down Hudson 73-59. That 73-59 margin sets a new team best for Weeki Wachee this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weeki Wachee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Priester, who scored 34 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jean Garcia, who scored 21 points.
Weeki Wachee's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Hudson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Weeki Wachee will head out on the road to face off against Springstead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springstead presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Weeki Wachee in Florida (Springstead is ranked 263rd, while Weeki Wachee is ranked 584th). Hudson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fivay at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th. Fivay is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
