Baseball Recap: Wilson Takes a Loss

If Wilson was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Liberty on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Governor Mifflin Mustangs on Monday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on April 2nd.

Wilson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Gabel, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Governor Mifflin, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wilson will square off against Reading at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red KNights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Governor Mifflin, they will take on Daniel Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Blazers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
