Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy had won four straight home games and Brooklyn Twitty did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons put the hurt on the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets with a sharp 46-23 victory thanks in part to Twitty, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and nine steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Abigail Bridwell was another key player, putting up five points and five steals. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy is undefeated when Bridwell posts three or more steals, but 4-6 otherwise.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Bessemer City, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.
