Tohatchi entered their tilt with Thoreau on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Brayden Chee made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Tohatchi got a massive performance out of Thomas Bitsie, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Bitsie has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Raiden Vandervere, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Tohatchi's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Thoreau, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tohatchi beat the Hawks by a score of 8-0 later that day.
