Football Recap: Glades Day Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Glades Day blew Gateway Charter out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Gateway Charter got their revenge. The Gators fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 29-27. The Gators just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Gateway Charter found their leader in sophomore Tavares Robinson, who rushed for 92 yards and one TD on only ten carries, and also caught one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Lenile Deems, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one score.

Glades Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gateway Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glades Day will take on Jupiter Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Gateway Charter, they will square off against Westminster Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 3.1 points per game this season, so the Griffins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
