Volleyball Game Preview: Valley Christian Vikings vs. Making Waves Academy Marlins

The Valley Christian Vikings will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Making Waves Academy Marlins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Valley Christian is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Fremont Christian, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Making Waves Academy suffered their biggest defeat since March 26, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Pinole Valley. The loss was the Marlins' first of the season.

While Making Waves Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-24, 25-22.
