Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact the Victory Baptist Academy Saints proved on Saturday. They strolled past Lewisburg Baptist Academy with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Victory Baptist Academy.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Victory Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Isaac Conaway was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with four steals.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Beane, who scored 12 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Wykle, who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Victory Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Victory Baptist Academy will look to defend their home court on Monday against Pipestem Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Pipestem Christian Academy is ranked 74th, while Victory Baptist Academy is ranked 71st). As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Boys' Home at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewisburg Baptist Academy is facing Boys' Home at the right time seeing as Boys' Home is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
