Chris Copen was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 19 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Belpre is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-3 otherwise. Copen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
