Baseball Game Preview: Holmes Aces vs. First Flight Nighthawks

For the second straight game, Holmes will face off against First Flight. The Aces will welcome the Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holmes is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Last Tuesday, Holmes had just enough and edged out First Flight 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aces have posted against the Nighthawks since April 12, 2022.

Holmes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fisher Bobbitt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Bobbitt is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. Another was Zach Walston, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.
