Basketball Game Preview: Heartland Christian Academy Eagles vs. Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles

Heartland Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Titus Bock out in front who posted 19 points. The game was Bock's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Rylee Kiser, who earned 14 points.

Meanwhile, Lighthouse Prep Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Tuscumbia and fell 75-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Lighthouse Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jonas Boes put up 14 points. That was a full 34.1% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Boes has scored more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Fowler, who had 11 points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Heartland Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Heartland Christian Academy against Lighthouse Prep Academy when the teams last played back in February, as the team secured a 71-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heartland Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
