Nansemond River came out on top against Churchland on Wednesday thanks in part to Ian Wilcox's efforts. Wilcox was unstoppable, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He is becoming a predictor of Nansemond River's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 4-10 when he doesn't).
