            Baseball Recap: East Bakersfield Blades vs. North Stars        
        
		
        
        
            East Bakersfield extended their winning streak  to three  on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 9-10 in the process. They put the hurt on the North Stars with a sharp  13-3 victory. The Blades not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 27th (when they won  19-4).

 RANDY LENOIR was  excellent,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. East Bakersfield is undefeated when  LENOIR posts two or  more  runs, but 2-10 otherwise.  ANGEL SANTILLAN also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 East Bakersfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in March.
As for North, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record  this season. Their defeat continues a  trend for the  squad, making it 13 in a row.
 On North's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  BRANDAN THOMASSON, who  went 1-for-2 with one  triple and one  run.
 Looking ahead, East Bakersfield will be playing in front of their home fans against West  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Blades are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for North, they will face off against Mojave at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.5  runs per game on average), something the Stars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
