Basketball Recap: Chase Buie's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Vandalia Christian over Fellowship Baptist Academy

Vandalia Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 64-55 to the Fellowship Baptist Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-49 back in November of 2024.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Buie, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Izzi Settle, who had ten points.

Vandalia Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5.

Vandalia Christian will square off against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. Faith Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Vandalia Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Fellowship Baptist Academy has already played their next match, a 73-28 victory against Raleigh Christian Academy on the 9th.
