Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Takes a Loss

Liberty Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southwest Christian School Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 13-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Sloane McCown made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Liberty Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwest Christian School, the victory was the 12th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Liberty Christian will challenge Southwest Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest Christian School, they will take on Concordia Lutheran at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday.
