Soccer Game Preview: East Hall vs. Fannin County

The East Hall Vikings will face off against the Fannin County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hall's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

East Hall fell victim to Cherokee Bluff and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, East Hall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Cherokee Bluff are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Fannin County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dade County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2. Fannin County's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

East Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Fannin County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

East Hall beat Fannin County 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Does East Hall have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fannin County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
