Softball Recap: Morrice's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

Morrice's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Bendle Tigers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Orioles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The team relied heavily on Belle Hoy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Krissy Hovis, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Morrice's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Bendle, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrice will face off against Webberville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bendle, they will square off against Genesee at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
