Volleyball Recap: Peninsula Catholic Knights vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers

Peninsula Catholic kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the StoneBridge Cavaliers, falling 3-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-16.

Deana Tavarez paced Peninsula Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Tavarez got some help from Summer Spencer and her 20 assists.

StoneBridge found their leader in sophomore Selah Telfer, who had 20 assists and seven digs.

Peninsula Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against The Covenant on the 26th. As for StoneBridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Timberlake Christian on the 23rd.
