Basketball Recap: Axtell's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Axtell extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brandt Modlin. The Axtell Wildcats strolled past the Ravenna Bluejays with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-49 thanks in part to Modlin, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 18 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Halvorsen, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Axtell's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Ravenna, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Axtell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-52 victory against Pleasanton on the 27th. Ravenna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
