Softball Recap: Ryle's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Ryle unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 14-11 to the Henry Clay Blue Devils. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Ryle got a massive performance out of Kiley Patterson, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. With that strong performance, Patterson is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Roland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Ryle's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5-1. As for Henry Clay, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.

Ryle has already played their next matchup (against Scott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Henry Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
