After losing to Brookland-Cayce the last time they met, Aiken decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Aiken walked away with a 6-2 victory over Brookland-Cayce on Monday. That looming 6-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fighting Green Hornets yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Spencer Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Johnson wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Aiken kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Aiken's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Brookland-Cayce, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.
