Soccer Recap: Gretna Comes Up Short

Gretna managed to slip by Pius X the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Gretna lost 5-2 to Pius X on Tuesday. Gretna were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Juliette Lilla and Briella Thompsen scored both of Gretna's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

This is the second loss in a row for Gretna and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Pius X, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Gretna wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Waverly on the 27th. As for Pius X, they will square off against Norris at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
