Preview: Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets vs. Chittenango Bears
The Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets will stay at home for another game and welcome the Chittenango Bears at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Fayetteville-Manlius suffered a tough 59-38 loss at the hands of Nottingham.
Meanwhile, Chittenango fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Jamesville-DeWitt on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Red Rams by a score of 83-81. Chittenango's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The losing side was boosted by Ryan Moesch, who scored 55 points. He scored a full 67.9% of Chittenango's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Taylor, who scored seven points.
Fayetteville-Manlius' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chittenango, their loss ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
