Preview: Sedan Devils vs. Flinthills Mustangs

Sedan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Flinthills Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Sedan took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 72-42 victory over Cedar Vale/Dexter. With Sedan ahead 54-26 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Flinthills had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Yates Center, posting a 64-14 win on the road.

Flinthills got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Osborne out in front who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 46 yards and a touchdown. Osborne was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Braiden Neeley and his 86 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Flinthills' victory.

Flinthills' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Noah Lacey and his two sacks.

Their wins bumped Sedan to 3-4 and Flinthills to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Sedan against Flinthills in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 48-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sedan since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
