Basketball Game Preview: Woodridge Bulldogs vs. Streetsboro Rockets

Having just played yesterday, the Woodridge Bulldogs will get right back to it and host the Streetsboro Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Streetsboro better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Woodridge really get things going. Everything went Woodridge's way against Coventry on Thursday as Woodridge made off with a 57-36 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Streetsboro entered their tilt with Lincoln on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 52-41.

Woodridge better keep an eye on Naomi Benson. She was instrumental in Streetsboro's win, dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 20 blocks. Benson's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carlee Bedford, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Streetsboro's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Woodridge, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Woodridge took a serious blow against Streetsboro in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 70-35. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Benson, who almost dropped a double-double on 43 points and nine rebounds.
