Volleyball Recap: Holland Takes Down Ranked Fruitport

Holland faced Fruitport in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Dutch had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dutch have posted since April 23rd.

Holland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Cisneros, who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Cisneros a new career-high.

Cisneros wasn't the only good server: Holland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

The win snapped Holland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-17-1 record. As for Fruitport, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Holland has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Mona Shores on the 30th. Fruitport has also already played their next contest (against Holland Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
