Volleyball Recap: Tatum Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grady on Thursday, Tatum came back down to earth. The Coyotes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gateway Christian Warriors on Monday. The Coyotes have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 25-14.

Avery Henard paced Tatum's offense, picking up eight kills. Henard got some help from Isabel Ramirez and her 20 assists. Sydney Hernandez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Tatum's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Gateway Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Tatum will head out on the road to take on Kermit at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Mexico Military Institute at 6:00 p.m. on October 2.
