Preview: John Marshall Lawyers vs. Medina Battling Bees
The John Marshall Lawyers will head out on the road to face off against the Medina Battling Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. John Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Medina is ranked 39th).
John Marshall unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 42-7 defeat at the hands of Glenville. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, John Marshall couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Medina can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Solon 35-0 on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Medina had established a 21 point advantage.
Medina's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Josefczyk, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Danny Stoddard also helped out by tossing the rock for 266 yards.
John Marshall now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Medina, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
