Basketball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Comes Up Short

After flying high against Amplus Academy last Wednesday, Southeast Career Tech came back down to earth. The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners had to suffer through a 43-13 loss at the hands of the Green Valley Gators. The Roadrunners haven't had much luck with the Gators recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Mila Vidacic was Southeast Career Tech's leading scorer, having posted five points. Nevaeh Fuller held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tabitha Bwakamba, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Those 12 points gave Bwakamba a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabbra Shirley, who had six points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Southeast Career Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Green Valley, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Southeast Career Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-28 loss against Moapa Valley on the 20th. As for Green Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-28 defeat against Lincoln County on the 20th.
