Baseball Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

Lakeview was the 10-5 winner over White Cloud when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-3 on Monday.

Ayden Bunker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Johnson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for White Cloud, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

While Lakeview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
