Softball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point was the 9-6 winner over Russellville when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors lost 13-2 to the Golden Tigers on Wednesday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katherine Yovino, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Russellville, they moved to 4-18 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While West Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
