Volleyball Game Preview: Del Lago Academy Firebirds vs. Tri-City Christian Eagles

The Del Lago Academy Firebirds will head out to face off against the Tri-City Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Del Lago Academy came up short against Calvin Christian and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Tri-City Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crusaders.

The victory didn't come easy: St. Joseph Academy scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.

Tri-City Christian pushed their record up to 11-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Del Lago Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season.

Del Lago Academy couldn't quite get it done against Tri-City Christian when the teams last played back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Firebirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
