Football Recap: Tocoi Creek Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tocoi Creek can now relate to. They fell 6-0 to the Spruce Creek Hawks on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Toros can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Hawks are ranked 24th).

When it comes to explaining why Tocoi Creek lost, don't look at Addy Curry. Despite the final result, she threw for 275 yards on 20 of 30 attempts, and also picked up 55 receiving yards. Curry also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making two total tackles and defending two passes.

Tocoi Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Spruce Creek, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 17-0.

Tocoi Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Spruce Creek, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-12 win against Timber Creek on the 28th.
