The Classical Academy Caimans will venture away from home to take on the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Classical Academy came up short against Clairemont and fell 5-1. The Caimans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Classical Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Santa Fe Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand La Jolla Country Day a 5-0 shutout last Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Owen Mauser tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has become a key player for Santa Fe Christian: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 4-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Riley Nelson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
