Baseball Recap: Oak Forest Academy Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Oak Forest Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Parklane Academy Pioneers get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Maison Bales was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Keegan Kelsey, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oak Forest Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.

Oak Forest Academy pushed their record up to 23-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Parklane Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.

Oak Forest Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Parklane Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
