Recap: Woodridge Bulldogs vs. West Branch Warriors
The Woodridge Bulldogs lost against the West Branch Warriors back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Woodridge fell 33-20 to West Branch. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Woodridge in their matchups with West Branch: they've now lost four in a row.
Beau Alazaus got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Alazaus was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Joey Jackson also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
Woodridge has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for West Branch, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Woodridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Branch will be playing in front of their home fans against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Streetsboro is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
