Volleyball Recap: Park Rapids Comes Up Short

Park Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Fergus Falls Otters. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Otters apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21.

Allie Michaelson paced Park Rapids' offense, picking up six kills. Michaelson got some help from Maggie Huber and her ten assists.

Park Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Fergus Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Park Rapids didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lake of the Woods on the 16th. As for Fergus Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Melrose on the 16th.
