Softball Recap: Abington Galloping Ghosts vs. Wissahickon Trojans

Abington's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Wissahickon Trojans by a score of 9-5. This was a revenge game for the Galloping Ghosts: when they faced off against the Trojans back in March, they had to take a 6-2 loss.

Sam Wenhold spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Haliey Hernandez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Mia Lucke also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Abington lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
