Volleyball Recap: Affton Starts off Right with Win over Rosati-Kain

Affton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rosati-Kain Kougers. The Cougars not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Affton never let Rosati-Kain on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-11.

Elli Casey paced Affton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Casey got some help from Lydia Hausman and her 13 assists. Madison Terney controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Rosati-Kain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Affton will challenge Gateway Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rosati-Kain, they will take on Metro at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
