Softball Recap: Mead Comes Up Short

If Mead was feeling good fresh off their 32-0 takedown of Central Valley on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Cheney Blackhawks by a score of 14-12 on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blackhawks earlier this season, when they won 11-4.

Mead's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Cheney, their record is now 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mead is set to take on their familiar foe Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cheney will challenge rival Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
