Baseball Recap: Mcneil Has No Trouble Against Manor

McNeil's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Manor Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won five in a row.

McNeil got a great performance from John Salas as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Joseph Sandusky was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Xander Covar also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

McNeil always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.

McNeil now has a winning record of 10-9-2. As for Manor, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McNeil beat the Mustangs by a score of 31-2 on Thursday.
