Basketball Recap: Minico Comes Up Short

Minico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were dealt a 56-22 defeat at the hands of the Jerome Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Tigers are ranked 24th).

Minico's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Jerome, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minico will face off against Twin Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Minico is facing Twin Falls at the right time seeing as Twin Falls is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jerome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain Home at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Home will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Jerome surely won't give up without a fight.
