Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Suwannee + Official Tickets

The Santa Fe Raiders will square off against the Suwannee Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Santa Fe was handed a six-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out West Port 4-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Santa Fe considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

They hit West Port with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Josh Cottle, Ever Garcia, Wayne Boone, and Dharma Rico.

Meanwhile, Suwannee hadn't done well against Gainesville recently (they were 0-7-2 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Hurricanes by a goal, winning 3-2. Ethan Valencia had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Suwannee got from the refs.

Suwannee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Santa Fe, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1-1.

Santa Fe was able to grind out a solid win over Suwannee in their previous matchup back in January, winning 4-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
