The 6-foot-6, 265-pound senior from Lake Catholic (Mentor, Ohio) was named Ohio's Division II Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The two-way standout lineman had 36 tackles, five sacks, nine tackles for losses and three forced fumbles.

He has excellent athletic ability, clocking 4.82 seconds for 40 yards, bench pressing 335 pounds and posting a 33-inch vertical jump.

Hounshell was ticketed for the offensive line at Florida, but will be given a shot at defensive end for the Fighting Irish.
