Volleyball Recap: Pope Beats South Forsyth for Their Fourth Straight Win

Pope came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the South Forsyth War Eagles by a score of 2-0. The Greyhounds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the War Eagles, too.

Pope not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept South Forsyth between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Lynden Harvey paced Pope's offense, picking up five kills. Harvey got some help from Jahan Lalli and her 21 assists. Lalli was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Pope's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for South Forsyth, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Pope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lee County on the 16th. As for South Forsyth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Mount Pisgah Christian on the 16th.
