Baseball Game Preview: Ranney vs. Christian Brothers Academy Colts

Ranney will head out to take on the Christian Brothers Academy Colts on Saturday. Ranney is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Ranney nor Manalapan made it on the board until the sixth inning. Ranney fell just short of Manalapan by a score of 5-3. Ranney has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ricky Lopez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Andrew Parisi, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Christian Brothers Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell 3-0 to St. Peter's Prep. The game marked the first time this season in which the Colts were not able to get on the board.

Ranney's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Christian Brothers Academy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-2.
