Basketball Game Preview: Argonia Raiders vs. Norwich Eagles

The Argonia Raiders will take on the Norwich Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Argonia will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Argonia will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Caldwell, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the Bluejays on Tuesday.

Argonia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corben Koehler, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. What's more, Koehler posted two assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Vineyard, who scored seven points along with ten assists and eight boards.

Argonia was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caldwell only posted eight.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Norwich took their game with ease, bagging a 55-26 victory over Udall. Norwich hasn't had any issues with Udall recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Argonia's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Norwich, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Argonia came up short against Norwich in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 42-38. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
