Baseball Game Preview: Norwalk Truckers vs. Perkins Pirates

The Norwalk Truckers will square off against the Perkins Pirates at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Norwalk will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While Norwalk's win against Sandusky wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Truckers skirted past the Blue Streaks 3-2.

Meanwhile, Perkins unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 9-5 to Bellevue.

Perkins saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxden Martin, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Norwalk pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Perkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
