Preview: Lassiter Trojans vs. South Forsyth War Eagles
Lassiter has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Lassiter Trojans and the South Forsyth War Eagles will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lassiter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Saturday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact Lassiter proved. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over Walker.
Lassiter can attribute much of their success to Kyhir Torrence, who scored 13 points along with three steals, and Jaden Emmanuelli, who scored 16 points. The match was Torrence's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Venuti, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Forsyth entered their tilt with Whitefield Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. South Forsyth was the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over Whitefield Academy.
Lassiter's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for South Forsyth, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
