Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Mustangs vs. Seguin Matadors

The Jefferson Mustangs will take on the Seguin Matadors in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Jefferson turned things around against Lanier on Friday. They skirted past the Voks 56-54.

Seguin hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over Lanier on Tuesday.

Jefferson's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-14. As for Seguin, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
