Baseball Recap: Cypress Creek Find Success

Cypress Creek won against Freedom last Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Cypress Creek sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Tohopekaliga Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Adrian Medina, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024. Aaron Camacaro was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Cypress Creek's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12. As for Tohopekaliga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Cypress Creek will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lake Nona at 7:00 p.m. Lake Nona's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Cypress Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tohopekaliga, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Tohopekaliga Tigers duke it out with Gateway Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
